CREATE FIRST · SCROLL LATER
Your phone is
doing time.
The only way out is to earn it.
LockIn locks the apps you pick as distractions. Finish a task, show the proof, and earn access time to spend on them. Your productive apps and your phone's essentials stay open.

THE LOOP
Do the work.
Earn the freedom.
You choose which apps distract you. To open them, you earn time: do a task, show the proof, collect the minutes. It's an economy, not a guilt trip.
STEP 01
Pick a task
Start with your morning routine, then choose from a menu of tasks. Each one shows the minutes it earns before you pick it, like a short workout for 30 minutes or reading for 20. You set the tasks and the rewards.
STEP 02
Show the proof
Snap a photo as evidence. AI checks it and answers pass, reject or not sure. Only a pass earns time, and LockIn's own rules, not the AI, decide how many minutes.
STEP 03
Spend it today
All your distracting apps draw from one shared allowance. Run dry and they lock until you earn more. Whatever is left expires at the end of your day.
A daily earning cap of 6 hours by default, adjustable. No rollover. No begging.
THE SYSTEM
Four walls of the cell.
One shared allowance
Every distracting app spends from the same balance. A daily earning cap (6 hours by default, adjustable) limits how much you can earn in a day, and unused time expires at the end of your day.
Morning Sentence
Start the day with your morning routine, then work through a menu of tasks. You decide what goes on the menu and what each task is worth, and you see the reward before you start.
Only what distracts you
You pick the apps that pull you in. Only those are restricted. Productive apps stay open, and calls, emergency calls, SMS and Settings are never blocked.
Hard to skip, never a trap
On Android, LockIn enforces through the Accessibility service. It's built to be hard to get around, but no app can promise it can't be bypassed, and you can always switch it off in Android Settings.
PRIVACY
Your evidence, your choice.
Server verification AVAILABLE
While you're online, your photo is sent to be checked. It isn't stored afterwards.
On-device verification IN DEVELOPMENT
The check runs on your phone. In local-only mode, your evidence is never uploaded.
LockIn keeps the data it collects to a minimum and never sells it.
THE YARD
No begging.
Just bragging rights.
Friends are optional. Invite them if you want someone in your corner, or someone to beat. You never need a friend to unlock your own time.
Accountability
Invite friends to keep each other honest
Leaderboards
See who's putting in the work across your circle
THE FINE PRINT
Questions from the yard.
How do I earn time?
Complete your morning routine or a task from your menu, then show evidence, such as a photo. Every task shows how many minutes it earns before you pick it, and you can change the tasks and their rewards. Only a verified pass adds time.
Which apps get locked?
Only the ones you pick as distracting, and they all share one allowance. Your productive apps stay open. Calls, emergency calls, SMS and Settings are never blocked.
Is there a limit on how much I can earn?
Yes. A daily earning cap limits how much you can earn in one day. It's 6 hours by default and you can change it. Unused time expires at the end of your local day, and nothing rolls over.
Who decides whether my proof counts?
AI checks your evidence and answers pass, reject or not sure. Only a pass earns time. How many minutes you get is set by LockIn's own rules, not by the AI.
Do I need friends?
No. You never need a friend to unlock time. Friends are optional: invite them for accountability and leaderboards if you want company.
What happens to my photos and videos?
That depends on the verification you choose. With server verification, your evidence is sent to be checked and isn't stored afterwards. With on-device verification, it is checked on your phone and never uploaded. Friends never see your evidence.
Does it work offline?
The core restriction does: limiting your distracting apps works with or without a connection. Checking evidence is different. Server verification needs a connection, and on-device verification, which would work without one, is still in development.
Can I get locked out of my phone?
No. Calls, emergency calls, SMS and Settings are always available. If you ever need to, you can turn LockIn off in Android Settings.
Can I get around it?
LockIn uses Android's Accessibility service and is designed to be hard to skip. But no app can guarantee it can't be bypassed, and that switch in Android Settings is always yours.
Is iOS supported?
Not yet. LockIn is Android first. iOS is planned and in progress, but there is no date yet.
Is my data private?
LockIn collects as little data as it needs to work and never sells it. See how evidence is handled.
